Steve Garrett

Steve Garrett coaches executives and their teams to build self-awareness, identify their passions and future goals, and take powerful action to become the leaders they aspire to be. He assists leaders who are new to their roles in getting started successfully, high potential leaders in building new skills for the future, and ongoing leaders in developing more effective leadership styles and influence strategies with their teams.

Steve has served clients across a wide variety of corporate, not-for-profit and professional service firm environments for over 20 years, including W.W. Grainger, Astellas Pharma, Baxter Healthcare Corporation, Motorola, The College of American Pathologists, The Illinois CPA Society, PricewaterhouseCoopers, The Ounce of Prevention Fund, Archer Daniels Midland, AbbVie and The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago.

In addition to his insightful executive coaching skills, Steve brings expertise in assessment interpretation, group facilitation and project management. Previously, Steve served as Recruiting Coordinator in Amoco Corporation’s Human Resources department, as Career Counselor with Indiana University’s Business Placement Office and as Financial Auditor and Executive Search Consultant with Ernst & Young.

Steve is also currently involved in the learning & development professional community as Program Co-Chair for the Chicago OD Practitioners Network, and as a member of the Talent & Organizational Effectiveness Committee within the Human Resource Management Association of Chicago (HRMAC). He was previously a board officer for the Career Transition Center of Chicago, and is a past president of the Association of Career Professionals International.

Steve is currently based in Chicago, Illinois.
